Is a nanny job a good opportunity for a professional Russian-speaking teacher in the UK?
January 24th, 2010I was told the other day that it is a pity that many well-educated Russian-speaking women with pedagogical degree living in the UK have to work as nannies. I personally do not think that it is bad. First of all, nanny job is as good as other jobs. For a person who enjoy working with children it is a good opportunity to use her skills, knowledge and experience and earn good money. An alternative is either to go through a special training programme, which requires excellent English or work in a completely different field.
Those, who realised that such an opportunity exists, and take it seriously considering themselves as professional nannies and obtaining all necessary certificates and skills, which are necessary for working in families, these nannies become very competitive and attract very good job offers.
